My concern is for the kids that are going to Mexico for spring break. There are no drinking laws there, you can drink at any age. Mexican hotels and officials don't care if something happens to your kids just as long as they are getting their money. How many high schoolers will die there this year before parents start telling their kids to go some where like Florida, not Mexico for spring break.
Great Topic Before I knew the information that I know now. I would of been ok paying for a graduation trip to Mexico for my teenage daughter. I never knew the risk you take going into Mexico. You would think that the large tourist places in Mexico, Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, etc. would be more concerned for the saftey of their tourist with all the money that is going into the tourist hotspots. I believe I read somewhere that 1/3 of all US tourist deaths happens in Mexico. The travel agencies should be required to inform/warn tourist of the saftey concerns in Mexico before they purchase thier trips, just like the warnings they have on alcohol & smoking products.
